The September Oneonta meeting took off into the wild blue yonder on Monday September 9th, with an aviation themed program. Rob Freeman, Lead Environmental Manager at Los Angeles International Airport talked about the environmental challenges associated with the airport’s multibillion dollar plans to accommodate millions of additional passengers in the next 20 years.
The evening continued with entertainment in keeping with LAX’s “jet setter” era with Rat Pack inspired songs by Michael Sinatra. We even included the Air Force Theme song as one of our group sings!
The evening concluded with many “flight tests” of the table centerpieces (balsa wood and foam airplanes and gliders). Hopefully we didn’t put anybody’s eye out!
